Lucky the turtle gets new legs

Lucky the turtle gets new legs: A few weeks ago, Lucky the box turtle had his front legs bitten off by a marauding raccoon. The vet who operated on Lucky after the attack came up with the idea of attaching tiny disc-shaped furniture sliders to Lucky's shell so he could propel himself around with his back legs. Lucky's owner, Sally Pyne, is happy that her turtle survived, but is philosophical about the nature of the attack: "He was just being a raccoon."
