snow season again; Regretsy and Craft Fail
It snowed today--didn't stick, but it's just a matter of time before the snow is here to stay. And when it does stay, I am looking forward to kicking snow clumps out of my wheel wells.
I thought I was the only person who finds this activity immensely satisfying! Apparently not.
Lately, I have been very amused by Regretsy and Craft Fail. Regretsy is a collection of the most bizarre stuff for sale on Etsy; Craft Fail is a community blog where people can post their own crafts that have gone tragically awry. Regretsy is not for the weak of heart or stomach. (Click at your own peril on the "art" category!) Craft Fail, on the other hand, is just a good place to commiserate with all the other people who, like me, have ever thought
"Hmm, that looks easy. I bet I could make that."
"I don't need to follow the pattern exactly."
"Measuring before you cut is for wimps."
"This doesn't seem to be working out quite how I thought it would...but I'll just keep going because I'm sure it will turn out OK eventually."

Back when he had a car, lo these many years ago, my husband *loved* to kick the snow out of his wheel wells. I thought it was just him...
Not just your husband. I love it too. Jeff and I fight over who gets to do it. What a feeling of satisfaction.
BTW, it is strange to have Nath commenting on your blog Melinda. I was confused for a second, thinking,
"you two know each other?!".
Crazy!

I LOVED kicking snow clumps. I can remember driving 'the pas' from Chetwynd to PG and my dad having to pull over along the way to clear the wheel wells.
Also, while delighting in the folly of others, have you checked out Cake Wrecks: http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/? Too funny, especially when my favourite shows lately are Cake Boss and Ace of Cakes.
I love Cake Wrecks!
I've never watched the cake TV shows, but I did think this Infomania segment about them was pretty funny.
Like your blog'S style!! Please keep on working hard. ^^
very good and cool, thank you for your sharing.
What I love most about winter is its snow.
Once as part of an Indian Princess meeting, one dad decided to have all the daughters push pins attached to sequins into styrofoam balls to make Christmas ornaments. Little did he know, they weren't actually styrofoam and none of the dads could actually do it, but no one wanted to admit it for at least the first 45 minutes. That's my craft fail story.
A friend introduced me to Regretsy this week! Too funny.
that is definatly an original blog title haha
